Account FAQs

  • When and where can I spend my loan?

    You can use your loan from when your account opens until 8pm on the 90th day:

    1. In-store: 

    • Before you get to the checkout, log in to your online account or open the IKEA finance app and select your loan.
    • At the checkout, tell the member of staff that you want to pay using IKEA finance.
    • The staff member will need to enter the long card number and expiry date to process your purchase.

    2. Online:

    • When asked 'How would you like to pay?' at the checkout, pick 'IKEA Financial Services Loan'.
    • Enter the details shown on your virtual card.
    • It isn't possible to split payments using multiple payment methods when shopping online or via PayOrder. If you need to split a payment the purchase needs to be done in-store.

    3. Using a PayOrder link (for remote planning services):

    • Use the secure link IKEA has sent you - you need to do this by midnight on the day it is sent.
    • If the link expires you'll need to ask IKEA to send you a new one.

  • How do I access my virtual card?

    You can access your virtual card in your account online.

    Log in to your account or open your IKEA finance app.

  • The cost of delivery isn't included in my loan amount

    If you haven't included the cost of the delivery in your purchase, you can use an IKEA gift card to pay for this. You will need to first make a separate purchase for a gift card on the IKEA website.

    IKEA will send a gift card code to your email. You can then use this at the checkout to complete your purchase.

    You will need to enter the gift card number first and then you can use your IKEA Financial Services loan to complete the purchase.

  • What happens if I don’t spend my full loan amount?

    You'll only repay the amount you spend, and the monthly repayment amount will remain according to your agreement. The monthly repayment amount will not decrease if you don't use the full loan amount, however you will pay the loan back over a shorter period.

    Your first Direct Debit will be taken after the first spend on your loan. 

  • My card won’t display

    If you’re unable to view your virtual card:

    • first check your phone signal is strong enough. If possible, connect to WiFi before you log in.
    • log out of your account and try logging back in again.
    • deleting browser history and cookies might help.
    • if you're trying to log in via our website, try to download our IKEA Financial Services app and try again.
